Time Changes

EDM number 1170 in 2008-09, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 24/03/2009.
Categorised under the topic of Standards.

That this House notes that the one hour time change in the United Kingdom occurs again on 29 March 2009; calls for a wide-ranging debate on the merits or otherwise of continuing with the practice given the twice-yearly inconvenience caused by the current practice; and looks forward to the presentation of facts concerning road safety, tiredness of drivers resulting from the immediate aftermath of each change in the time and other relevant factors.

This motion has been signed by a total of 26 MPs.
