Battle Of Britain 60th Anniversary

EDM number 958 in 1999-00, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 11/07/2000.

That this House notes the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a key turning point in the Second World War; and pays tribute to the 3,000 aircrew who took part in the battle, the 544 who died during this period, and all those who contributed to its success, including the ground crews, the WAAF's at the plotting tables and the Observer Corps, in order to ensure that Hitler's invasion plan never succeeded.

This motion has been signed by a total of 96 MPs.
