Retail Floor Space

EDM number 1304 in 2002-03, proposed by Colin Breed on 03/06/2003.

That this House condemns the uncontrolled development of retail floor space, by methods such as the construction of mezzanine floors and use of storage space and basements; and calls on the Government to amend planning policy guidance and legislation to allow for the democratic consideration of the impact of such developments by local authorities and communities.
