BBC Children In Need Appeal

EDM number 426 in 2002-03, proposed by Keith Vaz on 18/12/2002.

That this House acknowledges the significant achievements of the BBC Children in Need Appeal in helping socially disadvantaged children and young people across the United Kingdom; notes that since 1980, when the Appeal first was established, it has raised over ú300 million, that in the last 12 months it awarded grants totalling ú25.2 million and that during the Appeal night on 15th November it raised ú13.5 million; and wishes it continued success for the future.
