London Underground Public Private Partnership

EDM number 30 in 2004-05, proposed by Tim Yeo on 23/11/2004.

That this House notes the disclosure in the National Audit Office's report on the London Underground PPP that the Department for Transport in 1998 set a budget for reorganising London Underground and procuring the PPP at ú70 million but that the actual cost just a couple of years later was ú180 millon - ú170 million at 1999 values; and considers that the Department's financial chiefs were grossly incompetent in setting its budget figure.

This motion has been signed by a total of 59 MPs.
