JAMIE OLIVER'S CAMPAIGN TO TRANSFORM SCHOOL MEALS

EDM number 754 in 2004-05, proposed by Gordon Prentice on 22/02/2005.

That this House congratulates Jamie Oliver on his campaign to transform school meals and looks forward to the first programme in the series, to be broadcast on Channel 4 on the evening of 23rd February; agrees with him that children should not have to eat processed, oven-ready junk pumped full of additives when they could be offered tasty, nutritious food, prepared from fresh ingredients; welcomes the Government's decision to review school meals standards; and believes a nutritious and well-balanced diet will make for happy and well-balanced children.

This motion has been signed by a total of 82 MPs.
