Planning Policy Guidance Note 3 And Brownfield Sites

EDM number 2681 in 2005-06, proposed by John Hemming on 09/10/2006.

That this House notes that Planning Policy Guidance Note 3 (PPG3) requires local authorities to consider gardens as brownfield sites; further notes that this means a gradual and uncontrollable loss of green space within urban areas; and calls for the Government to amend PPG3 to give local authorities discretion as to whether to consider gardens to be brownfield sites.

This motion has been signed by a total of 40 MPs.
