PRINCE'S TRUST BUSINESS PROGRAMME 25th ANNIVERSARY

EDM number 1575 in 2007-08, proposed by David Kidney on 14/05/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Charities, Companies, Employment and Voluntary organisations.

That this House recognises the need to inspire the next generation of British entrepreneurs to remain competitive in an increasingly uncertain global economic climate; warmly congratulates The Prince's Trust on the 25th anniversary of its Business Programme; notes that the Business Programme has supported more than 70,000 disadvantaged young people into businesses over the last quarter of a century, 58 per cent. of which are still trading into their third year; and acknowledges that this support costs £1 million per month, but that every £1 invested in the Trust's Business Programme generates £2 in return to the Exchequer and is hugely valuable to the UK economy.

This motion has been signed by a total of 59 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
