Recent Murders In Northern Ireland

EDM number 1055 in 2008-09, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 11/03/2009.
Categorised under the topic of Terrorism.

That this House notes with sadness and anger the most recent murders in Northern Ireland; acknowledges the significant improvements in security that have occurred in recent years; welcomes the united stand of all the political parties in the Northern Ireland Assembly in opposition to the violence alongside the widespread revulsion from all sections of society; believes that in addition to this opposition there has to be total and unequivocal support from the same representatives and people for the Police Chief Constable of Northern Ireland and his actions; and supports unreservedly the Police Chief Constable's need for the maximum amount of information to be forthcoming in order to bring the killers to justice and to help to ensure that the present relative peace is deepened and made permanent.

This motion has been signed by a total of 49 MPs.
