Provision Of Public Lavatories (No. 2)

EDM number 1838 in 2008-09, proposed by Timothy Farron on 08/07/2009.
Categorised under the topic of Local government.

That this House believes that the provision of public lavatories is a vital public service; notes with regret the closure of public lavatories over recent years, especially in rural areas; recognises that these closures have a particular impact on older and disabled people and those with young families; welcomes the British Toilet Association's campaign for better public toilets; and calls on the Government to make the provision of public lavatories a statutory duty for local authorities and to provide the necessary resources to enable them to do so.

This motion has been signed by a total of 43 MPs.
