Post Office And Police Station Closures

EDM number 1063 in 2012-13, proposed by Keith Vaz on 12/02/2013.
Categorised under the topics of Police and Postal services.

That this House is concerned by the proposals to shut one in five Crown post offices and replace them with counters in retail stores which have been announced exactly one month after the Metropolitan Police Service announced it would be closing 65 police stations and replacing them with counters in post offices; and calls for the Government to seek clarification on the situation and ensure that the public does not lose out on access to post office and police services.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs.
