Scrap The VAT On Sun Care Products

EDM number 109 in 2013-14, proposed by Philip Davies on 15/05/2013.
Categorised under the topics of Consumers, Health education and preventive medicine and Taxation.

That this House notes that, every year, over 100,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with skin cancer; further notes that over 2,500 people lose their life as a result; highlights that sun exposure is the main preventable cause of skin cancer; urges the Government to remove the VAT on sun care protection to make it more financially affordable to avoid the health risks associated with over exposure to the sun; and believes that no individual should have to compromise their health over price.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
