That this House welcomes the sixth annual Vocational Qualifications Day on 5 June 2013; congratulates the millions of people who gain technical, practical, and vocational qualifications each year; notes that high quality technical and practical learning provides young people with the skills, experience, motivation and inspiration to get ahead; and agrees that practical skills should be valued as highly as academic education and that they contribute towards economic growth, improve social mobility and inspire ambition in young people.
