Historic Sites In Iraq

EDM number 526 in 2004-05, proposed by Tony Banks on 17/01/2005.

That this House deplores and condemns the reported damage to the site of the ancient city of Babylon caused by the contruction of a US military base; and believes that it is the duty of Coalition forces in Iraq to respect and protect all historic sites within a country which is recognised as one of the greatest cradles of world civilisation.

This motion has been signed by a total of 64 MPs.
