Ban Bullying Day

EDM number 948 in 2005-06, proposed by Joan Humble on 03/11/2005.

That this House notes that on 7th November the Andrea Adams Trust and others mark the third National Ban Bullying Day; further notes that workplace bullying is now a major cause of stress-related illness and that all employers require an effective strategy to protect potential victims and to combat and eliminate bad practices; and further notes the contribution of victim-led groups such as Daniel's Trust, which works to raise awareness of bullying in the armed forces, providing practical assistance and guidance to those who are being bullied, giving hope and encouragement to those suffering from bullying and pressing for the policy of zero tolerance to become a reality.

This motion has been signed by a total of 88 MPs.
