Youth Jobs In Sport And Leisure

EDM number 2026 in 2008-09, proposed by Bob Spink on 13/10/2009.
Categorised under the topics of Employment and Sports.

That this House notes that the Government plans to create 2,000 jobs in the sport and leisure industry, but is concerned that imposing a 10 month unemployed rule on access to sports jobs would improperly disadvantage youngsters who have studied sports science and management; and calls on the Government to ensure equality of opportunity and not to discriminate against youngsters who have worked hard to gain sport and leisure qualifications.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
