That this House congratulates the Centre for Life in Newcastle on its recent 10th birthday on 27 May 2010; believes that the Centre has been a leading force in studying and promoting the advancement of life sciences; notes with great respect its evident ability to inspire curiosity in science through an imaginative programme of exhibitions and events, especially amongst the young, in relation to important issues such as climate change and stem cell technology; is delighted by the substantial support it provices and the state-of-the-art facilities on site, which make possible the world-class scientific research in medicine; and further notes with great respect the Centre's success in helping develop business opportunities in the area.
