That this House welcomes Diabetes Week 2010, 13 to 19 June; notes that there are 2.6 million people living with diabetes in the UK and up to 500,000 people who have the condition but who remain undiagnosed; regrets that despite its increasing prevalence a number of myths about the condition persist which can lead to discrimination and prejudice against people with diabetes; and congratulates Diabetes UK for the work it does to raise awareness about diabetes to dispel these myths and give people accurate information about the condition.
